NCT JNJM

NCT JNJM is the seventh sub-unit within the NCT system and perhaps the most focused in its conception. Formed by SM Entertainment and announced in early 2026, the duo is composed of JENO and JAEMIN, both longtime members of NCT Dream, who have shared the stage and the studio for over a decade, stretching from their trainee days through the entirety of NCT Dream's evolution as a group.

That shared history is the foundation on which "BOTH SIDES," the duo's debut mini album, is built. Released on February 23, 2026, the six-track project centers on the concept of duality: the complementary energies that Jeno and Jaemin bring to their performances, the way two distinct personalities in close proximity can illuminate each other. As a hip-hop-oriented duo rather than a larger ensemble, they have room to be sharper, more precise, and more direct in ways that a seven-member configuration can make harder to achieve.

The title track "BOTH SIDES" frames that duality head-on, giving each performer space to demonstrate what makes them distinct before pulling those qualities into dialogue. It is an opening statement that knows exactly what it wants to say. "HASHTAG" reaches into late-2000s Southern hip-hop cadences while addressing the pressures and performance dynamics of social media identity, threading cultural commentary through a propulsive beat with the kind of specificity that elevates a genre exercise into something more interesting. "sexier" is an unambiguous declaration of intent: a hip-hop dance track built on the charged chemistry between the two performers, confident and precise in its execution.

The debut mini album also includes "I.D.O.L.," "What It Is," and "WIND UP," giving the project room to breathe and explore beyond its central concept. Across all six tracks, the production leans into a contemporary hip-hop aesthetic while leaving space for the two performers to be heard as individuals.

For listeners who have followed Jeno and Jaemin through the NCT Dream years, "BOTH SIDES" offers the gratification of seeing two familiar performers in a context that centers them fully. For those encountering them for the first time, the mini album works as a self-contained introduction: confident, well-produced, and clear about what it intends. NCT JNJM arrived at a moment when the NCT architecture was continuing to expand in purposeful new directions, and "BOTH SIDES" makes a compelling case for why this particular pairing, with a decade of genuine shared experience behind it, was the right one to bring into the system.
